My goal for kickstart week was to get down to my pre pregnancy weight of 142, this morning I weighed in at 142.5. I'll take it!!! My body is definitely not the same, my ultimate goal is to get to 130. This may or may not happen in the next 12 weeks. I am not able to follow the diet plan 100% since I am a nursing mama. I need another 500 calories a day to make milk, so weight loss is going to be a little slower for me and that's okay!
I am sore today and heading out for a day trip with my guys, oh glorious rest day...
Is this your first baby? I've got two sons. I always heard breast feeding woul help me lose weight but I found the opposite. I dropped about five pounds instantly when I stopped nursing. You never know. Not incentive to quit of course. Breast is best! Congrats on 142. That's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you Catherine!!! Yes, he is my first baby. The weight seemed to fly off at first, then got stuck. I have heard that for some people, they hold on to some extra fat to make milk. We did try to switch my son to cow's milk, but he is horribly allergic. So nursing it is for now. If the weight is slow to come off, I'm okay with that! I know this time is special and fleeting.
